Display the contents of LWP files created by the Lotus WordPro so that you can copy the contents of the LWP file to a current word processor program so that others can view the file contents as well. If you do not have a copy of the Lotus WordPro program installed on your computer, IBM provides a free viewer program that is compatible with LWP files. Install and run the KeyView for Lotus program to open and view the contents of LWP files.

Click the “Start” button on the Windows desktop taskbar and click the “Internet Explorer” item in the menu that appears. The “Windows Internet Explorer” window will appear.

Type the URL of the Lotus Smartsuite Downloads FTP site (lotus.com) into the address bar near the top of the “Windows Internet Explorer” window. Press the “Enter” key. Click once on the “Kvlotus.exe” link.
3.Click “Save” in the window that appears and then navigate to the directory on your computer where you wish to save the file. Click the “Save” button.
4.Navigate to the location of the “Kvlotus.exe” file downloaded in the previous step and right-click on the file and click “Extract Here” in the menu that appears. Double-click on the “KVLOTUS” directory that appears.
5.Double-click on the “setup.exe” file located in the “KVLOTUS” window. Click “Next” in the “KeyView for Lotus” window that appears. Click the “Next” button and then the “Finish” button to complete the KeyView for Lotus installation.
6.Double-click on the “KeyView for Lotus” shortcut located in the “KeyView for Lotus” window that appears. Click the “File” menu and then click “Open” in the menu that appears.
7.Navigate to the directory containing an LWP file you wish to open. Click on the file and click on the file and click the “Open” button to view the contents of the file.
